Wood Flutes
The Harry Gosse Wood Flute is an exceptional instrument with an extra thin wood wall. Our company is unique in this process which allows us to produce a flute from one single piece of wood.
That means that the tone holes are not glued as is often the case but rather cut with great care from the original block of wood. Due to the extra thin tube, tone holes in their normal form do not have enough room, so special chimneys are necessary.
This care makes a simply beautiful instrument.
Harry also makes his wood headjoints available to be purchased individually for those who wish to use a wood headjoint on a silver or gold flute body. These wood headjoints also come with a 14ct solid gold embouchure insert which gives the flautist the option of gold headjoint production from a wood headjoint.
